About

Brothers Gary and Cory Thibert come from the same womb but different artistic backgrounds. Gary has had a successful music career, performing in several bands and touring internationally, while Cory is the co-artistic director of the award winning indie theatre companies: May Can Theatre & O Albatross. With both their bands and original plays they have captured a live and engaging atmosphere with their audiences and have both garnered a reputation in their respective communities. They are confident that they can use everything they have learnt and transfer all of their abilities into filmmaking.

Wolf Pelt has created 8 official short films and two music videos to date. Their film eyetooth was the recipient of SAW Videos JumpstART mentorship program in 2015 and won the Winter Through Award at the Snowtown Film Festival. Trois won the 6th Painted Lips and Lolly Licks Festival at the Mayfair Theatre and Cory Thibert was nominated for Best Director Under 25 at the Ottawa Independent Video Awards. Wolf Pelts short films have had official selections in film festivals including Snowtown Film Festival, Canada West Film Fest, Directors Cut International Film Festival, & Mirror Mountain Film Festival.

Gary and Cory Thibert have always had a desire to explore their creativity through filmmaking. They are excited to take the leap into feature filmmaking, telling stories from new perspectives that engage and challenge audiences.
